May 7th - 10th, 2024 - Greenhouse Build: Frame Setup
With the help of our partners and friends in the community. we received and assembling the frame for our greenhouse! Thank you to the UC Davis Agricultural Sustainability Institute for helping do the hands-on work to literally build the foundation for this vision.
May 31st, 2024 - Greenhouse Build: Polycarbonate Siding
Delivery of polycarbonate siding for the greenhouse was completed in record time. Thank You to our Volunteers!

CCGS Pilot Program
Funded by the City of Sacramento Measure U program and CACC (California Alliance for Community Composting) -- We're a part of the CCGS (Community Composting for Green Spaces) program teaching the community how to handle food waste. It's a big deal!
Join us in the garden! During these days we dig, water, pick, build, explore, and investigate the environment. We're teaching all about gardening, healthy living, sustainable ecosystems, and more!

Designed for low-income, immigrant, and refugee residents in North Sacramento -- this initiative is a collaboration between local partners including the City of Sacramento, Sacramento Region Community Foundation, CAPECA at UC Irvine, Mutual Housing, and the International Rescue Committee.

Free Farm Stand: Pilot Program
Alongside hosting community workshops on cooking, nutrition, and urban gardening, our 2023 Pilot Program, we successfully distributed over 2,100 pounds of fresh, seasonal produce to the DPH community and surrounding areas.
